Mike is a dedicated supporter of Rotary International, with 33 years of active service. He is a Past President of the South Bend Club and was the Charter President of the Norcross (Atlanta) Club. For several years, Mike co-chaired the District Membership Committee. He also chaired the Rotary Exchange Committee, hosting students from Japan and Denmark. Mike is deeply involved with the Rotary International Foundation and has served as chair for many years. Mike is also an active member of the Phoenix Scholarship Committee.

Originally from the UK, Mike moved to the USA in 1988. He holds a Bachelor of Technology in Production Engineering and Management from Loughborough University, England. Mike is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) and member of the Institute of Engineering Technology. Mike became a US citizen in 2002.

Throughout his career, Mike has held several chief executive roles across various industries, amassing 45 years of experience in medical equipment, aerospace, power generation, and electrical contracting. His passion for solar and renewable energy led him to serve as the Chief Executive Officer for Inovateus Solar, and previously for Koontz-Wagner Holdings, a diversified electrical engineering group. Prior to his tenure at Koontz-Wagner, Mike spent 11 years in the medical equipment industry, beginning as Plant Manager for Ohmeda Anesthesia Systems in Yorkshire, England, before transferring to Atlanta, US, as General Manager of Medical Engineering Systems.

In recent years, Mike has embraced a plant-based diet, driven by his concerns over environmental sustainability, health and animal welfare. Mike is Chair of Michiana VegFest and serves on the boards of WNIT and Shirley Heinz Land Trust. He is the proud father of three internationally-minded children—two living and working in the UK and one in Germany. A seasoned marathon runner, Mike has completed 13 marathons. His hobbies include travel, beach, forest, and mountain walking, as well as watching Formula One and rugby.
