Tara Paiano is a native of St. Joseph County, Indiana, and graduated from Mishawaka High School, then received a bachelor’s degree of science from Ball State University.
Tara has spent years over 22 years in the social service field, both in Michiana and in South Carolina. Her experience includes as an administrator of a restorative justice program in Myrtle Beach, coordinator of the St. Joseph County Drug Court and Veterans Court Programs and assisted in creation of the Elkhart County Drug Court Program as the Director of Pretrial Services. Tara also served as a Board member, then Executive Director at the Upper Room Recovery Community and also led the Thomas N. Frederick Juvenile Justice Center as the Director of Court Operations. She currently develops business and community relations for Indiana Treatment Centers in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Tara has served on many boards and committees; all while being supported by members of the community and has been awarded for her service. Additionally, Tara became a proud Rotarian of the Rotary Club of South Bend in 2024 and soon became a member of the Board and a Sergeant at Arms in 2025.
Tara is dedicated to encouraging growth within the community and her expertise includes strategic planning, program implementation, facilitating change, and driving awareness of public resources.
Tara is married to Anthony, a nationally recognized principal architect at Alliance Architects. She enjoys cheering for their two children at musical and sporting events and loves creating memories while traveling.
